Movement, Breathing & Coaching
There is rarely one single thing that helps when your health feels complex. My approach brings together movement, breathing and coaching to help you better understand your body, build physical capacity and find practical ways to support your health in everyday life.
You don't need to know which of these you need before you book. Your sessions may include one or all three, depending on what is most useful for you.
Movement
Movement is tailored to you — your body, your symptoms and what matters in your life. This may include strength, mobility, balance, aerobic exercise, pacing or gradually rebuilding your capacity for activity. Rather than following a generic exercise program or simply pushing through symptoms, we work together to find movement that feels achievable, purposeful and sustainable.
Breathing
How we breathe can influence movement, pain, tension and how our body responds to physical and emotional demands. Breathing strategies may be incorporated into your sessions to support movement, recovery, relaxation and body awareness. I assess and guide you through effective breathing techniques and where appropriate hands on feedback.
Coaching and Health Triage Support
Knowing what might help and being able to make it happen in real life are often two very different things. Coaching creates space to explore the barriers that can make looking after your health difficult — including fatigue, pain, overwhelm, competing demands or simply not knowing where to start. Together, we find realistic strategies that fit your life, rather than expecting your life to fit around a health plan.
Support is also provide for complex care where there are multiple practitioners and/or mulitple health issues involved.
